Matthew's father was ???? Finlay and his mother was ???? ????. He had two brothers named John and Samuel.General Notes
Fermoyle was not formed until 1843. All of its townlands were in Dunboe when the Tithe Applotment Book was produced there in 1828. It shows a William and a Robert Finlay sharing a plot in Ballywilderick, a Mathew Finlay, James Finlay and a Widow Finlay holding plots in Ballystroan.
This Matthew must have been a brother of my John because he and his wife, Eliza, are baptising children in Macosquin Presbyterian Church at the same time as John and Mary Anne and John and Mary Anne had a son baptised with the relatively unusual name Matthew.
