Isabella was born on November 8th, 1866. Isabella's father was James Cooke and her mother was Elinor Gilmer. Her paternal grandparents were James McCook and Mary Ann McIlhouse. She had three brothers and five sisters, named James, Robert, Archibald, Margaret, Nancy, Mary, Ellen and Sarah. She was the youngest of the nine children.General Notes

Robert came to the USA but returned to Ireland because his parents needed him. He married and had four sons and a daughter. He lost one of his sons, John, in the Dardanelles during WWI.
