Married on 05/05/1846, in Ballylagin meeting house in Macosquin.
Moved to PA then Iowa. details from Brewster bulletin board at www.genforum.genealogy.com - listed by an Ann Franklin. She says she is using a marriage cert from Coleraine registry office. Confirmation of details Coleraine Local Record Office she was from Glenleary, daughter of John Browster, witnessed by a James Brewster.
On board the OSCEOLA from Glasgow to NYC, April 16,
1847, these names are together:
James Bruster, 50, farmer
Mary Bruster, 48
Jane Bruster, 20
Hugh Creelman,16
Ann Creelman, 14
M.J. Creelman, 6 mos
This simply HAS to be this Hugh Creelman and his wife Anne Brewster as the 6 month old child, M J Brewster, has to be Martha Jane, their daughter. Why they should be listed as aged only 16 and 14 is a total mystery. As are the Brewsters with whom they were travelling.
BB says (030707), "BOTH William Creelman AND Hugh Creelman are living in the same area in Philly as Charles Gray. AND Hugh Creelman has living with him a Mary Brewster- age 30. This is the 1850 Census now - I went back to it. So Mary must be Ann's sister and she is living with them but later moves in with Charles Brewster, her
brother, in Iowa....at some point."
BB says (030707), "Hugh Creelman's wife, Ann Brewster, apparently did die in 1854 as Kay says. He then moved from Philadelphia to Lee, Madison, Iowa with 2 daughters and Mary Brewster, his sister in law. He marries a widow, Jane Mitchell who apparently had a son John. Mary Brewster moves in with brother Charles Brewster."

BG says (040707), "There has to be some connection between the Grays of Coole Glebe perhaps (cause that is where Jo and Sue were from according to their daughter' Anne's marriage entry), the Brewsters of Glenleary, (cause that's where Ann was from according to her marriage record) and the Creelmans of Camus (cause that is where Hugh's marriage record says he was from). This could be a familial connection. Or it might simply be the fact that first, they were all from the same wee area in Co Derry and emigrated together and second, they were all Seceders. I do not know for defo if they were all Seceders but Anne and Hugh were married in Ballylaggin, which is just south of Camus, Glenleary and Coole Glebe and is a Seceder church and my own Brewsters were Seceders and the graveyard at Dromore Seceder church is heaving with Creelmans. It is also worth noting that I think the original home of my Grays is Camus, cause that is where the most Grays live."
