Source: Macosquin Presbyterian Church baptismal records for his children (which do NOT have any residences). It may also be them who appear in the Macosquin Communicants Roll Book for 1900-09 (William and either Mary Jane or Marg Jane), with no address next to their names.
This man, always identified by his use of the middle initial "M", appears at least twice in different townlands in the GVRBs:
Ballylintagh (both Mac and Agha)
6Ag – William Kennedy s/o to Wm M Boyd in 1909
- he s/o to John Kilpatrick in 1914;
Crosscanley
3a – Samuel Black s/o to Wm M Boyd in 1910
- he s/o to Robert Archibald in 1921
In the Ulster Covenant, which both he and his wife, Margaret Jane, signed, they gave their addresses as Crosscandly and signed on the same page as my Mary Brewster. Is this a connection between my Mary Boyd, the grandmother of Mary Brewster, and these Boyds? Only six Boyds signed the Ulster Covenant with Aghadowey addresses, and they were ALL from Crosscanley: this William M Boyd, as he again signed himself, and his wife, and the other William Boyd (with no M) and his three aunts.
