Mary Whiteford

Mary was born in February 1851 in Paisley.¹²

- 1880 census suggest 1854
  1910 census says Mar-1855
  1920 census aged 63, suggesting 1857
  
  appears to be a deliberate attempt to appear younger, increasing to 1858 on gravestone (which would mean her mother was 55 whe she gave birth rather than the also remarkable 48.

Mary's father was James Whiteford and her mother was Mary Mathie. Her maternal grandparents were James Mathie and Euphan Cameron. She had two brothers and five sisters, named James, John, Agnes, Fanny, Janet, Jeannie and Janet. She was the youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 70 on July 7th, 1921 in Rhode Island. She was buried in Rhode Island.³³
