Margaret was born in 1829 in Paisley.1 2  Margaret's father was James Towers and her mother was Annabella Ferguson.  Her paternal grandparents were William Tours and Janet Fulton. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William, James, Janet and Agnes.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Bronchiopneumonia, 14 days, at the age of 52 on October 28th, 1881 in Paisley.3 4 5
