Robert Shaw

Robert was born in February 1828 in Newton-on-Ayr and his baptism took place there on February 26th, 1828.¹

Robert's father was Thomas Shaw and his mother was Jean Scoffield.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Shaw and Mary Eaglesham-Smith; his maternal grandparents were James Scoffield and Jane Bone. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James, Robert, James, Janet, Ann and Margaret.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 20 in February 1848.²
