Catherine was born in 1884 in Glasgow.1 2  Catherine's father was Thomas George Wilson Salton and her mother was Catherine (Kate) Euphemia Rennie.  Her maternal grandparents were James Rennie and Catherine (Kate) Stobo. She had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Isabella and Mabel.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 74 on March 16th, 1958 in Newton Mearns.  The funeral took place on March 17th, 1958 in Newton Mearns.3 3
