Mary's father was James Roney and her mother was Catherine Balmer.  Her paternal grandparents were Arthur Roney and Catherine McKinlay. She had a sister named Cathrine.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Acute Bronchitis, 7 days, at the age of 88 on November 13th, 1922 in New Prestwick.
