Jessie was born on August 22nd, 1873 in Gibraltar and her baptism took place there on October 20th, 1878 conducted by Reverend J. C. Edghill.¹²

Jessie's father was James Rennie and her mother was Harriet Seon Outerbridge. Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Rennie and Janet Ross; her maternal grandparents were Anthony Outerbridge and Mary Seon. She had a brother and a sister, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named David, Annie and <Unknown>. She was the oldest of the four children. She died due to a medical problem, Pernicious anemia, at the age of 71 on November 20th, 1944 at 42 Ferguson Avenue, Renfrew.³⁴
