Elsie (Ellen) Rennie

Elsie, known as Ellen, was born in 1820 in Forres.^1 2   Ellen's father was James Rennie and her mother was Primrose Leal.  Her maternal grandparents were Peter Leal and Marjory Rose. She had a brother named Peter.  She was the older of the two children. She had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James, John, Alexander, David, Janet and Margaret.  She died due to natural causes or old age, bronchitis, congestion of lungs, cardiac failure, at the age of 89 on December 9th, 1909 in Glasgow.³
