Helen's father was Thomas Reeder and her mother was Mary Robertson. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Reeder and Helen Binnie. She had a sister named Margaret. She was the younger of the two children. She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Pthysis pulmomitis, at the age of 21 on August 14th, 1904 in Broxburn.¹
