Euphemia's father was David Rennie Pritchard and her mother was Mary Mcaulay Miller. Her paternal grandparents were John Pritchard and Euphemia McKechan Rennie. She had three sisters named Agnes, Mary and Alexandrina. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 77 in 1991 in Renfrew.
