William McMurran

William was born in 1836 in Irvine.^1 2   William's father was Samuel Flinn and his mother was Mary Shaw.  His paternal grandparents were William Flinn and Susan McAllan. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Thomas, Elisabeth, Susan, Agnes, Margaret and Mary.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 73 in 1909 in Irvine.
