William Mathie

William was born on May 13th, 1780 in Paisley and his baptism took place on May 14th, 1780 in Paisley Abbey parish.

William's father was John Mathie and his mother was Mary Brown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Alexander, James, James, Robert, Margaret, Annie and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.¹
