Catherine Grierson 
Catherine was born in 1837 in Paisley.1 Catherine's father was John Grierson and her mother was Marion Thomson. Her maternal grandparents were Archibald Thomson and Katrine Eaglesome. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Peter, John, Lilias, Margaret and Marion. She was the oldest of the six children.
