Christina's father was James Drummond and her mother was Jane (Jeanie) McPhail. Her paternal grandparents were William Drummond and Christian Campbell. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William, James, Hugh, George, William, Michael, Jessie and Jane. She was the youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 87 in 1968 in Glasgow.
