Beatrice's father was Archibald Carmichael and her mother was Isabella Hutchison Gardiner.  Her paternal grandparents were Archibald Carmichael and Ann McQueen. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Archibald, William, Minnie, Annie, Maggie, Isabella and Minnie.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 54 on January 24th, 1930 in Glasgow.  The funeral took place on January 27th, 1930.  She was buried on January 27th, 1930 in Glasgow.^3 4
