John Borthwick

John was born in 1840 in West Lothian.¹² John's father was Hugh Borthwick and his mother was Mary Haston. His paternal grandparents were Hugh Borthwick and Margaret Brash. He had three brothers named James, George and Hugh. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 41 on May 22nd, 1881 in Kirkliston.³
