Angele was born on November 25th, 1855.  Angele's father was Norbert Laurence and her mother was Josephte Parenteau.  Her paternal grandparents were Jean-Baptiste Laurence and Louise Montagnaise; her maternal grandparents were Pierre Parenteau and Josephte Laurin. She had two brothers and six sisters, named David, Daniel, Julie, Marie, Josephte, Pauline, Cecile and Larose.
