Rowland Thornton

Rowland was born on August 1st, 1691 in Gloucester Co., VA. Rowland's father was Francis Thornton and his mother was Alice Stafford Savage. His paternal grandparents were William Immigrant Thornton Jr and Elizabeth Rowland; his maternal grandparents were Capt Anthony Savage and Alice Stafford. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Francis, Elizabeth, Margaret and Sarah. He was the youngest of the six children.
