Josiah Yates was born on February 14th, 1816.  Josiah Yates' father was Alexander Of Drumore  Steen and his mother was Agnes Nancy Faris.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Steen and Elizabeth Boyd; his maternal grandparents were Faris and Nancy. He had five brothers and a sister, named Aaron Faris, Robert Wilson, Alexander Boyd, John Work, others and Rebecca Ann.  He died at the age of 60 on January 19th, 1877.
