Silas Dinsmore Ross

Silas Dinsmore was born in 1829 in Cherokee Co., AL. Silas Dinsmore's father was Chief John Kooweskoowe Ross (Ani'-Tsi'skwa = Bird Clan (Ghi-Goo-ie)) and his mother was Quatie (Elizabeth) Hare Hair victim Trail of Tears Brown (Cherokee). His paternal grandparents were Daniel Ross and Mary Mollie McDonald (Ani'-Tsi'skwa = Bird Clan (Ghi-Goo-ie)). He had three brothers and a sister, named James, Allen, George Washington and Jane. He had a half-sister named Susan Fatima F. He died at the age of 43 on January 2nd, 1872 in Indian, Penobscot, Maine.
