Susan was born in 1793 in Choctaw Nation, Mississippi.  Susan's father was William RIddle and her mother was Caty (Choctaw Okla Okla Apetat).  Her maternal grandparents are Mingo of Burnt Corn Homastubee (Choctaw) and unk. She had a brother and a sister, named John and Mary.  She is the second oldest of the three children.
