Mary Hannah was born in 1793.  Mary Hannah's father is Lt David Rice and her mother is Mary Polly Paxton.  Her paternal grandparents are Col Benjamin Rice and Catherine Holt. She has two brothers and two sisters, named George Duffield, Benjamin Walker, Catherine T and Sarah Sally. She has seven half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Samuel Montgomery, John Holt, William Walker, David, Andrew H, Joshua, Benjamin Brewer, Ann Nancy Morton, Elizabeth and Margaret Jane.
