Margaret's father was William Rankin and her mother was Victory Victora Alcorn Alcoran.  Her paternal grandparents were James Rankin and Jean Jane Campbell. She had a brother and five sisters, named James, Mary, Elizabeth, Jean, Ann and Ruth.  She died on August 13th, 1842 in Clarke Co., Ga.
