William Nichols was born in 1658 in Westmoreland Co., Virginia Colony.  William Nichols' father was John Quesinberry and his mother was Anne Pope.  His maternal grandparents were Pope and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Humphrey and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the four children.
