George was born on January 10th, 1772 in Westmoreland County, Virginia.  George's father was Richard Neale and his mother was Frances Underwood.  His paternal grandparents were Presley Neale and Prob Margaret Fauntleroy; his maternal grandparents were Thomas William Underwood and Elizabeth Taylor. He had two brothers and a sister, named Richard, Thomas and Judith Ann.  He was the third oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 81 on July 24th, 1853.
