Earl William the Protector de Marshall

William the Protector de was born in 1146. William the Protector de's father was John FitzGILBERT le MARECHAL; `the Marshall'; (of Rockley) and his mother was Sibile Sibyl De Vere Deever D'evereaux. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert FitzRobert Master Marshal of the king's household under King Henry Marshall and Miss De Venuz. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John , Henry Henrie of Exeter, Anselme, Gilbert, Walter, Margaret and Maud. He was adopted by Earl John of Warwick Marshall & partner. He died at the age of 73 on May 14th, 1219.
