William Marshall

William was born about 1804. William's father was Robert Marshall and his mother was Sarah Dobbins. His paternal grandparents were Robert Marshall and Christian Moore; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Dobbins and Mary Carson. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John Carson, Alexander Dobbins, Robert Foster, Finis Lafayette, Isabella W, Ann, Mary and Matilda Caroline. He is the oldest of the nine children.
