Sara was born in May 1841.  Sara's father was James M Marshall and her mother was Elizabeth Rush.  Her paternal grandparents were William Marshall Sr and Mary C Beans Bane Banes. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Mason, Thomas, Margaret and Rosa E.  She was the second oldest of the five children. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William Abraham, James Phineas, John M, Susan Mary and Hester Ann Hettie.  She died at the age of 3 on April 15th, 1845.
