Samuel B was born on April 24th, 1809 in KY.  Samuel B's father was John Marshall and his mother was Leah Ann Davis.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Marshall and <Unknown>. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Robert P, John Leggett, Hugh Lewis, Joseph Taylor, Elias, Jeremiah Davis, Rachel Eugenia and Priscilla.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 65 on January 31st, 1875 in Moffett, Bell, TX.
