Sam Jones was born on November 5th, 1885 in Obion, TN.  Sam Jones' father was Preston Alexander Marshall and his mother was Betty Tom Frost.  His paternal grandparents were James Alexander Marshall and <Unknown>. He had a brother and two sisters, named Paul Wade, Donna and Nettie Oberia.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 62 on January 10th, 1948.
