Robert was born on January 6th, 1801.  Robert's father was William Marshall and his mother was Elizabeth Cole.  His paternal grandparents were John Marshall and Sarah??; his maternal grandparents were William Cole and Nellie Freeman. He had a sister named Sarah.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 45 on September 17th, 1846.
