Robert was born on November 20th, 1796.  Robert's father was Robert Sugar Creek Marshall and his mother was first wife Marshall.  His paternal grandparents were John Marshall and Deborah LNU. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, James to Oregon and Madalene Lena.  He was the third oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 39 on January 20th, 1836.
