Randolph was born on January 9th, 1811.  Randolph's father was Randall Marshall and his mother was Mary Reeves.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Marshall and Ann Pease; his maternal grandparents were Henry Reeves and Hannah Doughty Furness. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Chew, Henry Reeves, Ann, Hannah Reeves and Mary R.  He was the youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 68 on February 19th, 1879.
