Mary was born on August 14th, 1747.  Mary's father was Abraham Marshall Jr and her mother was Rachel Carter.  Her paternal grandparents were Abraham  distiniguished botanist and horticulturist Marshall and Mary Hunt; her maternal grandparents were George Carter and Elizabeth Tull. She had a brother and three sisters, named Samuel, Elizabeth, <Unknown> and <Unknown>.  She died at the age of 68 on August 26th, 1815 in Chester Co PA.
