Marion Marshall

Marion was born on February 28th, 1853 in Caroll Co., Virginia. Marion's father was William Jefferson Marshall and his mother was Rosemond LaRauise Puckett. His paternal grandparents were Elijah Marshall and Susannah Standley Stanley; his maternal grandparents were Grand Sir Big Sir Granser?? (Cherokee) and Sarah Sally Puckett. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Armisted Armstead, William Casuley (Bruz) , Ballard, Mary , Samantha, Sarah, Martha Ann and Ellen. He died at the age of 63 on July 16th, 1916 in Caroll Co., Virginia.

  1. Bobby Marshall, born England or Ireland, 1781 died 1855 in Carroll County, He
  was a blacksmith and married Susannah Dodd in 1801. The remains of the 'Old
  Marshall Place' are in Laurel Fork, VA.
  2. Elijah Marshall, a blacksmith, married three times. 1st to Susannah Stanley,
  my ancestor, 2nd to Mary Jane Love and 3rd to Marie Slaughter. Elijah was born
  8/8/1805 and died 2/17/1880, Carroll County, VA
  3. William Jefferson Marshall born 8/14/1829 died 9/8/1906 married LaRauise
  (LeRosy) Puckett.
  4. Marion Marshall b 2/28/1855, died 7/16/1916
  5. Le Rosa Jane (Jane) Marshall b 10/4/1877 married John Wesley Horton. Her
  sister, Cora Marshall married John W Horton's brother Monroe Horton.
