John Taylor Marshall

John Taylor was born in 1846 in Franklin Township, Des Moines Co., Iowa. John Taylor's father was Oliver Marshall and his mother was Susannah Edgington. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Marshall and Eleanor Ashenhurst; his maternal grandparents were George Edgington and Mary. He had four brothers and five sisters, named William T, Benjamin, Alexander, Silas E, Clarinda, Elizabeth, Melinda Ann, Cassandra and Sarah. He was the seventh oldest of the ten children.
