Hamilton Marshall

Hamilton was born about 1826 in Stokes Co, N.C.. Hamilton's father was Joseph Davis Marshall and his mother was Sarah Catherine Samuel. His paternal grandparents were Martin Marshall and Eleanor Boswell; his maternal grandparents were Edward Samuel and Susannah Hill. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Elizabeth, Edmund, Thomas D., Henry D., Anne E. and Sarah C.. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
