Ballard Marshall

Ballard was born in 1843 in Caroll Co., Virginia. Ballard's father was Elijah Marshall and his mother was Susannah Standley Stanley. His paternal grandparents were Robert Bobby Marshall Sr and Sussannah Susan Poteet Dodd Dodds; his maternal grandparents were Zachariah Stanley and Naomi Jones. He had a brother and four sisters, named William Jefferson, Frances, Sarah, Martha Mary and Anna. He was the fourth oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 20 on July 3rd, 1863 in Gettysburg, Adams, Pennsylvania.
