William Burr was born in 1770 in Caroline Co., Virginia.  William Burr's father was William Burr Lowrey Sr and his mother was Elizabeth Pullam Pullen Pulliam.  His paternal grandparents were John Lowrey Sr and Miss Triplett (poss native). He had three brothers named John, Nelson and Thomas.  He died at the age of 73 in 1843 in Lowry, Bedford County, Va.
