George's father was Willam Lowrey (Croatoan) and his mother was Betty Bettie Locklaer meaning “hold fast” Locklear (Cherokee prob).  His paternal grandparents were James Lowrie interpreter Lowrey (Croatoan) III and Sarah Sally Kearsy Kearsey (Tuscarora 1/2); his maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and a sister, named Alfred, Allen and Patty.
