Chaney   Cheney Chain Shane (De Chesne?) was born on October 8th, 1808.  Chaney   Cheney Chain Shane (De Chesne?)'s father was John Lanford and his mother was Ruth Leatherwood.  His paternal grandparents were James Lanford and Mary Frances Lowrey; his maternal grandparents were Zachariah Leatherwood and Mary Stone. He had a brother named Silas Greenleaf.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 73 on November 16th, 1881.
