Matthias was born about 1683.  Matthias' father is Gysbrecht Thyssen Lane (Laenen) and his mother is Jannetje Smith.  His paternal grandparents are Matthys lanen Van Pelt and Maryken Tryntje Gijsberts. He had a brother named Cornelius.  He was the older of the two children.  He died in July 1729.
