Josephine was born in 1854.  Josephine's father was John George Bourinot and her mother is Margaret Ann or Jane?? Marshall.  Her maternal grandfather was Chief Justice John George of Nova Scotia Marshall and her maternal grandmother is Catherine Jones. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John George, Marshall, Arthur Henry, Herbert, Elise and Wilmot.
