Chief Justice John George of Nova Scotia Marshall

John George was born in 1786 in Country Harbor, Nova Scotia. John George's father is Capt Joseph Marshall (loyalist) and his mother is Margaret. He had a brother named Joseph H. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 94 in 1880.

From 1811 to 1823 he represented Sydney (Antigonish County) in the legislature. From 1823 to 1841 he was the Chief Justice of the Courts of Common Pleas, and President of the Sessions in the Island of Cape Breton."
