Reason Rezin Edward was born about 1822.  Reason Rezin Edward's father was Stephen Herring Grooms and his mother is Winifred Winders.  His paternal grandparents are Elijah Grooms and Caty Herring; his maternal grandparents are John Winders and Tabitha New. He had two brothers and a sister, named Major G, James Marshall and Susan.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died about 1879.
