Capt William Gordon (RED BOLLING)

William was born in 1798 in Nashville, Davidson Co. Tennessee. William's father was Capt John Captain of the Spies Spiez Spees Gordon (RED BOLLING Gordon KIT NUMBER: 70366) and his mother was Dorothea Dolly Cross (RED BOLLING). His paternal grandparents were Lt John POSS Gordon (RED BOLLING) and Isabella Lawson; his maternal grandparents are Richard Cross and Anna Maclin (RED BOLLING). He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, Fielding Lewis, Bolling Cross, Powhatan Powhatten, Andrew, Richard Cross, Mary Ann, Anna Nancy, Dorothy Dolly and Louisa Pocohontas. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died after 1845.
