John Gordon (RED BOLLING)

John was born in 1795 in Nashville, Davidson Co. Tennessee. John's father was Capt John Captain of the Spies Spiez Spees Gordon (RED BOLLING Gordon KIT NUMBER: 70366) and his mother was Dorothea Dolly Cross (RED BOLLING). His paternal grandparents were Lt John POSS Gordon (RED BOLLING) and Isabella Lawson; his maternal grandparents are Richard Cross and Anna Maclin (RED BOLLING). He had six brothers and four sisters, named Fielding Lewis, William, Bolling Cross, Powhatan Powhatten, Andrew, Richard Cross, Mary Ann, Anna Nancy, Dorothy Dolly and Louisa Pocohontas. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 49 in 1844 in Missouri.
